Getting into the company console
Three routes lead to the company console. One of them does not work yet, so this page tells you which door to use and what to expect behind it.
Use this when
- You have never opened
roadmap-flow.com/companybefore. - You bought a Team plan and do not know where administration lives.
- Somebody sent you an invitation link and you are not sure what to do with it.
- You reached the sign-in screen and it looked like your sign-in failed.
What you need before starting
- A Microsoft work account or a Google account. Sign-in is optional for Roadmap Flow itself; for the console it is required.
- To be an active member of a company, or to hold an invitation link or a join code.
Step-by-step flow
The route that works today: sign in with Microsoft or Google.
- Open
roadmap-flow.com/companyin a browser. - Click Sign in with Microsoft or Sign in with Google. Only providers your deployment has configured are shown, so there is never a button that leads nowhere.
- Complete sign-in with your identity provider. Roadmap Flow never sees your password and never gets access to your mail or files.
- You land in the console.
If you land on "you are signed in, but this account is not a member of a company yet": that screen means your sign-in worked. You are simply not in a company. Paste your invitation link or your 12-character join code into the box and click Join company.
If you have an invitation link: open the link itself. It goes to roadmap-flow.com/company/invite/, where you sign in and click Accept invitation. From there a button takes you straight into the console.
From the desktop app: the app has a Team → Manage company button that opens the console already signed in. It is in the source build but is not in the version currently on the Microsoft Store. Until a new Store package ships, use the browser.
By emailed sign-in link: the sign-in card offers to email you a link. Email sending is not configured, so no link arrives. Ignore that field and use a provider button.
What good looks like
- You reach a page with a left navigation and your company name in the header.
- Your email and role are shown at the top right.
- If you are an administrator, all eight pages are available.
- If you are not, Overview opens and the rest are greyed out. That is correct behaviour, not a failure — see What a member sees, and what they do not.
Common traps
- Reading the sign-in card as a rejection. If you got as far as the "not a member of a company yet" screen, your identity was accepted.
- Waiting for a sign-in email. None is sent.
- Following the desktop instructions on a Store-installed build. That button is not there yet.
- Pasting a join code into the invitation-link field and expecting it to be rejected. Both are accepted — the box works out which one you have.
- Assuming you need a Roadmap Flow subscription of your own to accept an invitation. You do not; the company's seat covers you.
