People
The People page is the roster of everyone in your company: their role, whether they hold a licensed seat, which teams they are on, and when they were last active. It is also where you invite people and where you take access away.
What it does
The table lists every company member with their name, email, account ID, company role, state, seat status, teams, join date and last-active date. Search matches name, email or account ID, and a filter narrows to active, suspended, invited or removed.
Two buttons create people:
- Invite person — one person, with a company role and any number of teams and per-team roles pre-assigned.
- Bulk invite (CSV) — one person per line, with columns
email, role, teams(several separated by;) andteam_role. The header row is optional. Unknown team names and bad rows are reported back to you rather than silently skipped.
Both paths produce an invitation link, shown with a Copy button. Email sending is not configured on Roadmap Flow today, so the link is yours to deliver — by chat, by your own mail client, however you normally reach that person. The console says so on the page rather than pretending a mail is on its way.
Manage on any row opens one dialog that does the rest:
- Change the company role to member, viewer, company admin or billing admin.
- Assign or release the licensed seat.
- Tick and untick teams, with a team role for each.
- Suspend — the person keeps their record but loses access, and their seat is released immediately.
- Reactivate — takes a seat back from the pool, so it can fail if you are full.
- Remove — releases exactly one seat, drops every team membership in this company, and does not touch a single file on that person's computer.
The company owner's row is locked: role, seat and membership cannot be changed here. Transfer ownership first — see Administrators.
When to use it
- Onboarding somebody, especially into several teams at once.
- Someone left and you want the seat back today.
- Somebody is on leave and you want the seat back temporarily — suspend, then reactivate.
- You are about to reduce your seat quantity and need to release seats first.
- A finance contact needs the subscription but not the roadmaps — give them billing admin and take their seat away.
When not to use it
- To change what you pay. Releasing seats here frees them in the pool; the purchased quantity is on Seats and billing.
- To delete somebody's roadmaps. Removal ends their company membership. Their local files are theirs and are untouched.
- To move a person between companies. Membership is per company; there is no transfer.
3-minute flow
- Open People.
- Click Invite person.
- Enter their work email and pick a company role. The hint under the picker is the important one: billing admins do not get roadmap content.
- Tick the teams they belong to and set a team role for each.
- Click Send invitation and copy the link from the dialog that follows.
- Send them that link yourself.
Best use cases
- A ten-person intake, done as one CSV paste, with teams pre-assigned so nobody has to be added twice.
- A leaver: suspend on their last day, remove at the end of the month, reduce seats at renewal.
- A quarterly tidy: filter to Active, sort your eyes down the Last active column, and reclaim what nobody is using.
Common mistakes
- Creating an invitation and closing the dialog without copying the link. It is shown once. If you lose it, resend from Invitations — which is safe, and which replaces the old link.
- Inviting an address that already has a pending invitation. Roadmap Flow refuses it and tells you to resend or revoke the existing one instead.
- Adding somebody to more teams to "give them more access" and expecting it to cost more. It does not cost anything. Teams are grouping.
- Removing the person who holds the subscription. The owner cannot be removed — which is the product stopping you from locking yourself out.
